Can I use paypal to accept payments for images/pdf files without having to send them off myself? The customer just clicks on the 'buy' button, paypal takes their money and they get the image/pdf they wanted and all while I'm fast asleep. Doable?

Umm...one of my sites accepts PayPal without the email address being visible. :)

It is doable - BUT your email address on your PayPal page is in plain language and is available to email harvesters!
I found this out to my cost when I was spammed on a special email address on Paypal within 3 days!!
Paypal said they couldn't do encrypted email addresses.
