I'm trying to capture some screen shots from a Playstation 2 using a built-in capture device via composite and Microsoft Movie Maker, but the picture quality isn't fantastic.

I've seen under Movie Maker though that using 'Digital device format (DV-AVI)' is suggested as it can preserve proper video quality. However, as I'm using composite (the yellow cable type) this option is blocked out.

Is it possible to buy a cable which enables the picture to be pulled from the Playstation 2 as digital, meaning I can use the better quality capturing, or is the 'Digital device format (DV-AVI)' a digital camera and fire wire thing?

I'm a little surprised that the picture quality can't be preserved via the method I'm using, but is this just how it is, or are my settings wrong, or just that my video capture hardware and PC just can't cut it?

I've used a couple of capturing devices in the past, none of which were that fantastic, so I get the impression that better quality capturing is going to cost.
