"Half life 1 help"

After reading all the posts on hl2 I decided to continue with my hl1 game, but for some reason my saves are not there! Is there some sort of level select cheat or something like that, I would just like to get back to where I was.

Can I get it from any shop in the town or is it hard to find?

Silver package off of Steam. It's also available in the Retail Collectors edition.

Hehe...interestingly enough I'm playing through the original too. But it's slightly boring since I lost my saved game file when I changed PC's and I had nearly finished it.

Thanks for that but just after I put the post in I started from the last cheak point that was there, am now past where I had got before. Thanks for the link though, gamespot looks like a really good site.
