Outlook uses HTTP mail rather than POP mail for Hotmail accounts. I don't think Thundebird can do that, which is why I'm still with Outlook. Until Hotmail ceases to offer Outlook integration that is.

I'm using Hotmail through Outlook still. The paid-member only business isn't coming in til about April next year. I intend to have my own webmail working by then.

Thanks Very metal, that is what i needed, but tyla is right, hotmail now only let paying customers use clients :(, it says on the sites that they only work with the hotmail plus accounts, (the pay ones)

Damn, god damn microsoft, arent you rich enough already!

iirc, You should find the details on MSN, shoudl be something like:

pop.hotmail.com
smtp.hotmail.com

Username being your hotmail address, password should be obvious

But I think they've stopped access to hotmail through mail clients now unless you pay for it, odd as it may seem.
