Haven't done Perl for about 6 months now, so forgive me if any of your answers confuse me a little.

But I was wondering, is there any way you can edit/extract data from Excel/Access files? It's easy enough with a normal text file, but that's flat. I would have thought it would be possible in some form or another (probably very complex too. :-().

But even if there was just a way to read the data through Perl, perform a pattern match, then print it to the file again, that would be good enough.

Thanks in advance.
