It's only a 1.9mb clip.

I recognise the music but can't for the life of me think what it is.
Oh, and admire the wonderful wonderful Nedved in action too.

Yngwie is fastest but not better than Satriani. Vai is probably the best of the G3 style group.

Fair enough, bit hasty maybe. I stand by my decision for most guitarist who are seen as gods though.

Page + Hendrix over all.

No he isn't.
Satriani isn't really very fast at all.

The vast majority of his fast solos are all legato, which is nowhere near as 'incredible' as Yngwie's super-fast picking.

Listen to Starry Night, The Extremist, Summer Song, Surfing with The Alien and loads more and you'll see that he's much more concerned with the music than with playing fast.

Um.
That's not really what Satriani does. He only has parts that are incredibly fast, but even still, they sound fantastic.

What you described is like Yngwie. He plays at a bazillion notes per millisecond, but he sounds balls.

Or 5,000, if I don't have an extra £100 kicking around.

He really isn't. He's incredibly fast, but that doesn't mean he's incredibly good. I may be able to write a hundred words a minute, but it doesn't mean the novel I'm writing will be any good, does it?

Sounds like a decent iPod. BRMC are amazing.

Satriani = best.
It doesn't matter if he isn't the fastest or most technical.
