Any tips on which one to buy? - is a Sony one due for release? Seen the Madcatz one that also controls a TC / Video - is this any good? - it did not seem to have a pass through for the controlloer though.

Thanks.

There is one good remote from datel i think which looks good which is rare looking at the other cheap ones.it's 9.99 and has every function (Angle, subtitle etc) on the remote. It's far better than the cheap ones i've seen.

I've heard the sony remote is released as an extra item in Japan but here it's going to be packaged in the PS2 bundle but not for a long time.

Yeah, I've got the mad catz. It's just an infa red controller with a differant layout and labelled buttons. I played Quake 3 with it once.

You may want to wait until the official Sony one comes out. It's allready in Japan, but you need new DVD software. Estimate: around christmas

there is an official controller on its way ( the same as the one bundled with the jap machine) but my fellow posters inform me that this too is a 3rd party piece of kit but with a sony badge. i am perfectly at home with the pad as a DVD controller.

this forum is a fountain of PS2 knowledge.
