I didn’t like CS 1.6 (or all previous versions) but for some reason, I actually quite like CS: Source.

It's not a great game, it still has the same problems that made me hate the earlier versions, but this update is allot more exciting. I love having huge gunfights through the office map and seeing bullet holes rip through the scenery, while objects get shot about the place. I may still be crap at it, but it's quite enjoyable.

The only thing I don't like are the players themselves. Some of them. Particularly pre-pubescent American teens who have an excessive tendency to spew out limp insults like "This is Gay" and "Fag", oh and not forgetting those elitist few who can't seem to except they aren't invincible and cry in anger when someone kills them. "Er..er.. you camper" There, now no one will suspect it was your own stupid fault for getting a bullet between your eye's. Cretins.

On the whole though, the game is still enjoyable despite some of the morons you play against.

Back in the day, I used to play on some clan server where everyone was a bit crap really,so that was brilliant since no one used to take it seriously. Infact they were really crap because my clan beat them, and we only ever won 2 matches out of goodness knows how many. And then half of them disappeared to play Dark Age Of Camelot. So eventually it all fell apart. Which was a pity. Oh and then the rest of us found another server to invade, belonged to some clan. Ooh, and anyone ever played that flash game Camperstrike? Well the guy that wrote that was in that clan.

Yeah, that's true. There's quite a lot actually I suppose.

It's just the ones who take it far too seriously, and are anti-noob I suppose is what I meant.
If you try and make banter, they just ignore you or give you the wonderful "stfu j00 nub".

They're pretty nice too if you get to know them. Though they only respect you if you are good so it becomes hard to know them if you're crap.

Can get annoying if you're playing without friends and keep dieing though.

A huge factor is the people you talk to on it.

There are some really decent people on it who are a laugh, and really don't take the game too seriously.

And then there's the super uber clan nerds and stuff.
Although, I'm just jealous 'cause I'm obsolete, and he's 0bso1337.

Not sure what is it that makes it fun, it is repeatative and it is just a buy weapons, run, jump, fire, die game. But it is very entertaining. i don't play it alot maybe 2 times a week.

Still waiting for DOD source as i love that more than counterstrike.
