The vast vast vast majority of songs have people singing over a beat - not talking over one.

And it's not just a beat - it's harmonised.

That description of talking over a beat kind of describes every single song in history...songs are short messages delivered by music.

Not saying I like the streets, but am pointing out what a retardulated argument that was.
