...have put me off of playing the Single Player Mode. I cant be bothered to play it because you're all saying how it isn't as good as Halo 1 and how the ending is really crap.
Sadly, I joined a room yesterday and an American told me the ending, I didn't ask him to, he just did.
So, yeah, I cant be bothered to do the single player mode but I want to know what level you're all on and I dont care if theres a few spoilers because that American basically told me everything.
I think im on Level 1, I have just landed on Earth.

Halo 1's story is only better because it has an over riding objective - Halo - otherwise it's pretty much standard except for the 'HALO IS A WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION' twist. Halo 2 branches out in many more directions, and, coupled with some poor storytelling devices (or lack of), seems to be much worse - when in fact it's far more expansive than the first game, if a little less cohesive and directed.
The Halo 1 story is better, yes, but that's like not listening to a new album or watching a new television series as it isn't as good as an old one.
So far the story is quite good. I'm up to the library.
I went on the GameFAQs forum today and there are alot of people saying that the story is pants and Halo 1's is better.
It doesn't matter, Xbox Live is why I got the game anyway.
