It's definitely onboard graphics.
Check if you have an AGP slot on your motherboard.

Yeah, depending on how much you paid for your comp this is either the part where you shrug your shoulders or crawl into a corner crying about how the OEM builders have stuffed you up the ass.

Generally computers that don't have onboard graphics.

You say you have 480mb of RAM.
This means you have onboard graphics.

Do you know why I know?
Because you can't get 480mb of RAM.

You have 512mb, 32mb of which is being used by the onboard graphics chip.

512 - 32 = 480.

And yes, I'm very sure you have DirectX9 installed on your computer, as it's included in Windows XP SP2 (and 1?), but this is not the same as having a DX9 compliant graphics card, and you've already posted that your chip "doesn't support pixel shader 1.1", which means it isn't even DX8 compliant.

To check if you have an AGP slot, open up your computer and look for a brown slot above the white PCI ones.

A DX9 graphics card is one that supports Vertex and Pixel shaders v2.0+, as well as whatever other extras DX9 includes.
