"Are you easy..."

...to persuade into buying a game, have you ever seen an advert, or screenshot before the game is released and said, 'That game is the best'....

...how do you know that the game is 'the best' you haven't even played it, with the right promotion any company can sell a game, (YES, even if 3DO release another Army Men game).

What is it about those adverts, and promotional items that make us give into the them and purchase the game?

Well it could be something to do with the fact that after weeks and weeks of the same game/s promotion continuely being knocked into are brain that we buy to see what the fuss is about, and in most cases this is probably what happens.

In the last few years more and more games have been released onto the market that should have been stopped before the character was even drawn, but these games for some strange reason sell because companies like Sony are prepared to shell out thousands to advertise with a Standee here or there, a Billboard here and there and a once off TV commercial in Prime Time television.

Personally I don't blame the companies, its how they make there money, and with the use of 'easy advertising' they can sell there games to us.

My question is, Have you ever been easy?

Ugh, I did that with Diddy Kong Racing. I got that little video that Nintendo Power gave out for it and the guy was saying, "this is the most fun game that I have ever played in my life! Woohoo!" That game is one of the worst games I've ever played. I got to the last guy and I got so disgusted with the darn thing that I didn't even care about beating it and I sold it to my friend. That's the only game I've ever gotten rid of.

I have never clicked on a banner from this site. I stopped clicking on banners ages ago, because they usually lead to somethin completly useless.

As for games, i never buy them unless i have done my research on them. These days you hear about the best games somtimes in advance of a year. When u get hyped like this nothin really will stop u gettin that game. U will be locked onto it.

Yeah, I tend to look at games in reviews first, unless the game is a sequal from an outstanding game before it like MGS. Like Mario platform games, there tend to be the names you can trust.

Sometimes I take a risk, but so far I've never regretted any of my choices when I have ;-)) Must just have a nose for games ;-))
