I'm not a big fan of house music, but I love Drum 'n' bass and Jungle, these are branchs off the ever growing religion which is 'Acid house' who knows how this type of music lifed but it got some followers and became big. This leads me to the point, how come there are so many different types of one music?

Hard House
Jazz House
Acid house
WHAT? it's all the same stuff, they just have different instruments! this is why I stick to rap, or Hip Hop, there is a big difference but everyone thinks of them as the same, what makes the definaition? What makes Rock different from indy? what gives you difference between pop and kiddy pop?

Yeah, a very fikle business, i'm trying to get into it myself but only time will tell. I think most bands like to be called 'Indie' bands, Blur and other great bands were indie and I guess it's just a kind of easy listening Rock style that they like.

So its a corporate attempt to create non-existant genres and increase revenue?

It's the difference between Rap and Hip-Hop that threw me for a while
Fogmaster, what exactly are the differences between Rap and RnB?
Whenever i listen to the Rap show and Trever Nelson on radio 1, half the songs they play are the same!
