Does anyone know if either this or the orginal VGA silencer cooler will work with the X800 range of cards, I found a bargain at a local little computer shop but wasn't sure whether it would fit or not. Also found VGA RAM cooling blocks that come with a teeny weeny fan!

Installed the Rev 4 arctic ATI cooler;

Immediately the case temps dropped to about 22-25 C and the card is idling around 35 C.

Mild overclock to 522/581 easily, might pust it a bit more later on.

I tink the reduced case temps will also allow me to increase my FSB a bit more... more on that later.

First of all my Rev 3 cost £6. New.

Also, the Rev 4 is the only one that will do the X800, because it also makes contact with the RAM chips, the Rev 3 doesn't, which is actually what is holding my overclocking card back.

And yes, a Rev 3 is an improvement on stock cooling for pretty much all cards it fits.

Ok, cheers guys - thats that idea out of the window, it was such a bargain as well £11.00. I thought I remebered someone saying that the original cooler or the original REV.3 would work :-(

Yeah Tyla is right.

The Rev4 is the only cooler to improve on the stock cooler.

As far as I know, the Rev4 X800 is the only one which has any real effect/improvement
