The theme of a talented young man being recruited by an organisation that has alternative motives isn't new, but is very successful and the sort of plot that can be duplicated in a variety of settings. I will note that Ryan Phillippe is probably one of the actors of the newest generation that I have by far been entertained by, and not yet disappointed. Most of his appearances have been supporting roles, with the exception of ‘Cruel Intentions’ hopefully his newest movie will give him the opportunity to chance to change that, if its successful.
The other bit of casting news that is announced right now is Tim Robbins as the computer mogul who drives the plot. If people are going to think of a certain other computer mogul, I can see how Robbins would be able to play a man with a similar personality and demeanour, I liked his role in ‘The Shaw Shanks Redemption’. Anyway, that’s all the good stuff I’ve been able to find, I know the films about to be released soon, but I know it’s going to be a smash, not as good as Gladiator and Titanic, but who could compete with those?
