My mum just asked me why her printer wasn't working. I had a look, tried to print something, nothing doing. I then checked the connections, it was definitely plugged in. So I then dug the computer out of its messy, cluttered little corner, turned it round, and the problem was quite obvious.

There, in front of my very eyes, was the printer's USB cable wedged into the serial port.

*slaps forehead and drags hand down face*

And even worse is that there's a USB port on the front of her PC.

It is actually, just about, but it was really tightly wedged in between the pins.

My mum asked me how to type in a URL t'other day. Normally she just signs in her password on msn explorer and clicks the letter icon, but it wasn't working so we had to show her how to get in through IE.

Aha I didn't even think that was possible, but after giving it a go, I managed to almost wedge it in.

Now I love your mum for more than one reason...
