"Futurama mentioned on the Simpsons"

I was just watching the Simpsons and the nerdy teen threw himself of a cliff shouting 'why did they cancel Futurama'. Thats the first time I think I agreed with a reason for someone to kill them selfs.

First time I had a good laugh at a new Simpsons episode for a while.

Futurama,Simpsons and Gamily Guy are my favourite shows. I have every episode on tape or DVD. It is a shame the way they stopped showing Family Guy and Futurama because they were good and were popular with people.

Fox also funded it. This is why Family Guy WAS stopped - the finances involved could only be met by Fox, as they required a full orchestra etc. and so other channels like Cartoon Network that would show old episodes couldn't afford new ones.

I'm glad they did though - look at the Simpsons. I read an interview with Al Jean recently, and he admitted that they're not strict on recycling plots.
