I've heard that he's only got one track on FF XII. Can't remember where I read it to so don't take that as truth.
I think they may get the composser of the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack in on the music now. If not then maybe some new blood in on it.

Damn, no more cool final fantasy music, oh well back to listening to the devil may cry music again, it rocks literally heh.
That's a shame, although it sounds very much like the door is still open for him to work on future Final Fantasy games.
