Here's some of the things I'm going to predict what will happen within 10 years... not saying it will happen, but there's a good chance.

- Chelsea are looming around relegation and are suffering from with the same problems as Leeds. Selling major players and having to play youth players. Happens because Ambromavich leaves and major financial loss causes problem the next 2-3 seasons.

- Morinho becomes the Man United manager after Sir Alex retires.

- Within the ten years these teams will have got relegated:
Aston Villa
Southampton
Blackburn
WBA
Norwich
Palace
Portsmouth
Middlesbrough

- Wenger leaves Highbury to manage France 1-2 seasons after Fergie retires.

- Bolton will iwn the UEFA Cup

- Real Madrid relegated

Anyone got any other idea's what might happen. Those were straight of my head and more than likely won't happen

yep, you can't just go "oh i don't feel like owning chelsea" and wonder into the sunset. Asset stripping would make no sense. he'd have to sell the whole thing and whoever takes it over has to have the cash to maintain it or they will go bankrupt and so are unlikely to buy, he could refloat the company in which case we'd be in no worse position, or the worst possible scenario he gets busted, and even then we become property of the russian government, then we will be sold again!

When Abramovich bought Chelsea, he just didn't buy a random club, in a way he bought a brand. And the Chelsea "brand" sells.

If he leaves, there will definitely be somebody that will step in. I can't see Chelsea dropping out of the Prem for a long, long, long time.

25 'small' clubs go bust or amalgamate with their local rivals.

yeah but you have to ask is there a bigger job in football than chelsea manager at the moment. I would say no, man utd has its charms and real madrid its history and player power. But chelsea has the biggest financial resources ever, probably the best squad ever, and huge pressure. But if you buy a player and he is crap you buy another. the chelsea job is currently the biggest in football.

And despite what he may have suggested recently after signing his long-awaited new contract with the club, I can see Arsénal being the very last club to come under Arséne Wenger's reigns.

Undoubtabley, when the chance comes along, and the timing is right, he wouldn't dare pass up the chance of resurrecting his country; falling deeper and deeper as the generations go by.

I doubt Chelsea will fall into the same kind of trouble Leeds have suffered within even FIFTY years, just because, even when Roman Abramovich does decide it's time for him to leave, there will always be another man out there ready-and-rich enough to walk straight into the job.

That's life, with a club of Chelsea's (now ever-growing) profile!
If strugglers like Leeds can attract the interest of foreign billionaires then, most certainly, club's at the other end will have no problem.

I agree with most of the relegations, and that Mourinho will have only gone to a higher job after this one (not neccesarily United!), but Sir Alex Ferguson will be LONG GONE way before then!

With the way many things have already gone, we could be looking at his last season in-charge, as we are, here, right now...
No matter who he is, if the results don't come and things desperately need to change, David Gill only has to say so, and he's gone.

Real Madrid do seem like the kind of team that could have slipped from the top within ten-years, though. And, I suppose, I could always say the same about Man United. And half of Serie A's top-ten; given the ever-unstable financial complications on-going around Europe.

With that in mind, the questions has got to be asked:

How many European clubs - big or small - will have gone the way of the old Fiorentina with the shape money is taking on the game?

none of those bar the relegations will happen and only a few of those. I love the fact people think roman will leave still. that was the petty jealous gossip of the first few weeks. Chelsea's wage bill is high but so is the value of playing assets, we have the best saquad in the league and the best under 25 squad in europe, just think of all the quality 25 year old and unders we have at the mo. We have the best young goal keeper in the world (cech), and probably the best young player in the world (Robben), a huge stack of cash, an owner who attends pretty much every game. Oh did i add zero debt, one of the most valuable non playing assets in the league, probable stadium expansion, the wealthiest fans in england (deloitte and touche supporters survey a few years ago, and that didn't include Roman!!!!). the fact that we came second last season and nearly went all the way in the champs league, and are pretty much guaranteed a top 2 finish this season, and our performing the best out of any club in the champs league this season. I can see huge grounding for that stadium.

you might as well say i predict moon fc play in the premiership for all the value it has.
