I was aware there was one Severe-threat spyware on my PC, however it found a total of 4 Severe ones and 2 Moderate - and successfully removed them all! The PC is now noticably quicker since the scumware is not swallowing power anymore.
So yeah, try it if AdAware lets you down.

I'm using the trial version of 1.0.288, presumably the latest.
It even acts like ZoneAlarm in that it alerts you when stuff changes in the background, and even in your registry.
