BBC Sport are said to have found out the 6 potential managers of Wales, and they are:

John Toshack
Dean Saunders
Ian Rush
Dick Advocaat
Gerard Houllier
Philippe Troussier

John Toshack:

Advantages:

My Favourite of the bunch, he is welsh (which helps)and has a knowledge of European Football, and has success with some big clubs. Took Real to 2 Spainish Titles, Made Real Sociedad the team they are now by bringing in the youngster's like Alonso (current liverpool star) and buying Nihat a player who wasn't even breaking into a Turkish team and turning him into a great scorer in the Spainish League. Like's using youngsters, so knows how to groom talented players, and knows how to make moderate players play at there best week in week out. Also out of a job, so no compensation would have to paid.

Disadvantages:

Walked out on the job 10 years ago after 1 game, so the Football Association may take that into their decision. Critised the team's tactics that were used by Hughes in the previous reign.

Dean Saunders

Advantages:

A total outsider, no one thought he wanted the job till the shortlist leaked. Currently working at Newcastle as First Team Coach, working with Bellamy. Made in the same mold as Hughes, probably a players favourite. Mullet haired legend is a plus point.

Disadvantages:

Not been a Manager before but neither had Hughes. Maybe tactically poor like Hughes turned out to be. Probably not ready to become welsh manager and probably is enjoying life at newcastle.

Ian Rush

Advantages:

Respect of the Players is the main advantage. He has some experience in management with Chester and doing a very good with them. Also has been Welsh Under 17 boss and done an ok job with them, so has experience in international set up.

Disadvantages:

Unknown Talent as Manager like Hughes, also maybe a bit out of touch with top level players, as he has only worked with under 17 and Chester. Would bring in Mark Aizewood as his Assistant who is not liked by all of the FAW board.

Dick Adovcaat

Advantages:
Won titles with the clubs he has managed in Holland and Scotland with PSV and Rangers. Been Holland Manager twice, so has experience in International Management and well as having bags of experience in Club Managerment. Plays Attacking Football so hopefully that would entertain fans.

Disadvantages:

Never achieved his potential with the players at his disposal while incharge of Holland both times, but that could be due to the players mind set in Holland, of the under achievers. Bad Man Manager, and makes comments that annoy fans.

Gerard Houllier

Advantages:

Good at developing youth talent, good at molding players into certain positions, has a record of success with liverpool, UEFA, FA and League Cup wins. Good with Media work.

Disadvantages:

He smells, Overally defensive, too much faith in players that are not on form, not a inspirational manager, unlike Mark Hughes or Martin O'Neill. Could annoy Savage and Bellamy, maybe a little too big for the FAW to handle. The potential of breaking the bank to have him as Manager.

Philippe Troussier

Advantages:

Worked with small pools of talent before with Japan,Nigeria and South Africa. Experience as International Manager of Japan and managing Burkina Faso to a surprise fourth place in the African Nations Cup.

Disadvantages:

Unfamiliar with British Football, Bad Hair Cut, English Language may be a problem. A short term manager, never stays at a job for the long innings, quickly gets bored or rubbish at his job.

Ian Rush has said no, Dick Advocaat has taken up the job as manager of Borrusia Munhin'bunchofflunch'em... (in Germany), and now, Phillipe Trousier is set to meet with the Welsh FA for disscusions.

For the good of the Welsh game and its future, though, it HAS to be another Welshman (as the Scots should have another fellow countryman, also).

Houllier wouldn't take the Wales job? Surely? The guy has a weak heart! =P

Seriously though, look what happened to Vogts (sp?), Scotlands manager... like Wales, he didn't have much to work with - its the sort of job that isn't going to do any wonders for your CV unless you REALLY turn it around.

Poor Wales - I don't like the look of most of those managers except Houllier, who won't take it =P

I think the most obvious candidate out of that bunch is Toshack with the good european knowledge, plus i like the fella.

Troussier (sp) is an interesting one, haven't heard his name being thrown into the ring before, he could do a job.

Just dont go near Dean Saunders. Please.
