anyone getting this?

I loved GT1, but never bothered with GT2, as by then I had a PC. So though GT2 looked great as a PS1 game, there were plenty of PC games I wanted, which also graphically (at least) were a lot better. GT3 appeals because it's considerably different to PS1 GT1, whereas GT2 wasn't IMHO.

GT3 - selected as my last Gameaday prize.

No way I'm missing out on it!

I used to be a big fan of the Ultima series...

so much so that I would oly age whilst playing the games... inbetwen releases I would stay the same age...

With the break between Ultima 8 and Ultima 9.... I stayed 16 for over 5 years...

Although, when I actually got to play the game I was so distraught I aged nearly 10 years over night...

Nah, I do agree.
I got the 1st one when there wasn't much hype to it, and it blew me away.
2nd one, build up for months and it was "Well...it's pretty good"

But this one has been hyped more than Phantom Menace, but it's still the same game with nicer edges.

Could be wrong though, we'll see.

I think it's because I grew up a little inbetween both games. That's my theory behind everything - sequels are never as good as the first because you are older and more matured. Albums seem to get worse and worse (eg Oasis) because we are getting older and have more matured tastes.

Simple.

I loved Gran Turismo.
Got the 2nd one and enjoyed that.
Seen more and more of the new one and can't help but think
"Yeah....so better graphics and..."

I really, really want to be excited about this one but I'm not really. I'll rent it from videochainbusters and have a go.

I hope my jaded mind gets into it, because I think I should be looking forward to this.

Funny this. I bought Gran Turismo and played it to death, I loved every minute of it and played it for months on end. Then, when it came out, I bought Gran Turismo 2. It didn't interest me in the slightest. i think I played it three or four times and I've never touched it since. Don't know why either.

It's the same with Driver and Driver 2, i don't know what's wrong with me.

There`s a little too much to chose from coming up though!
Crazy Taxi, Red Faction, GT3 and Super Bombad Racing, all in the next few months!

Absolutely!! Cant wait for it!!

I played GT2 for the first time the other day, i've heard so much about it, and really wanted to play it but for some reason i've never got round to it. Really good, I bought a Nissan Micra! thats my Grans car, can't remeber how much horse poser it had, nice alloys though.
