The autoresponder should it trigger when the PHP form from freeola help pages is sent?
Also the wording in the subject line "Automatic reply service" and the from "Autoresponder" can these be changed to reflect what domain they came from?
Kind Regards
Kev
Formmail from Tectite[free] http://www.tectite.com/formmailpage.php has autoresponse options and also allows you to capture the 'from' email address, so the email arrives with the correct email address rather than the server name.
It's a very long script due to all the documentation and available options so takes longer to setup then the Freeola supplied one!
I use it successfully on Freeola hosted sites. The bit I like is that you can format your emails using an HTML template so the email that is produced has a much better layout etc.
The later version on Jack's Formmail (Freeola's script seems to be based on this) also allows the email address to be used as the 'from' address - perhaps Freeola can look into upgrading their script at some stage?
The autoresponder should work as the e-mails are sent to the address specified in the normal manner. This won't be the issue you are having however, the form sends mail from the web server to your address and so the reply address that the autoresponder will be sending back to would be that of the mail server.
It may be possible to use a modified script to change the from field that the web server uses but none of the staff here have come across one. It will also depend on the server configuration, I will ask one of our systems team to take a look.
Unfortunately, the subject and from fields cannot be changed for autorespond messages, only the body of the e-mail.
