When I play RS:3 online the gameplay is really jerky. I used to put it down to lag, but I have joined many servers and I still have the same problem when I join servers with good pings (that is *** isn't it?).
Anyone had a similiar problem? Or is it just one of those things?

Black Arrow is a hell of a lot smoother than the previous Rainbow. This is probably why.
Oh, and Rainbow Six 3 tends to have more American players from what I remember. This could be another reason.

Every other game is absolutely fine - Even Splinter Cell which is the same type of thing.
Halo 2 runs like a dream and everything else works alright.

Rainbow Six 3 is really jumpy as far as I remember.
Black Arrow plays a lot smoother online last time I played....which was a long while ago.

I haven't played it in ages. Yes, the more stars then the better the ping times. It could be YOU though. Is it just RS:3 that does that? How are you connected up to Live?
