I'm off to the US on holiday in June, and will soon be ordering my money. This will obviously include Traveller's Cheques, but a friend has told me that some places don't take certain types of TC.
So my question is: has anyone who has had a holiday in the US in the last year or so, had trouble getting TC's changed?
There are 3 basic types - Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Anyone had problems with any of them?
TIA for any advice...

I can give you some major insults as opposed to petty ones, if you prefer? :-)
Florida - in Kissimmee.

Disney...well..I went to the Magic Kingdom and found out it's for kids.
I loved it.
Splash Mountain, Pirates of Penzance..brilliant stuff.
Corporate as you like, but still fun.
If you get the chance, rent a convertible and drive down to the Keys.
It'll take a good few hours to get there, but it's worth it.
Nothing like sitting outside Hemingway's House and watching the sun settle over Cuba in the distance.
Enjoy
> Have fun in the US man... where are you going?
Ooh, I think I'll manage to!

(There you go meka - boasting over!)
They even give you change for them.
Which was nice.
But as Shanksy says, take cash as well.
Enjoy, and steer clear of Culpepper County, Mississipi.
That is not a state that welcomes UK guys to easily
Although, its always best to take some cash as well as travellers cheques anyway...
Have fun in the US man... where are you going?
>I'm off to the US on holiday in June, Florida, in fact, whilst you peasants rot away in the feeble British weather...
There he goes, boasting about his holiday again.
