Currently I have 2 perfectly good computers, but one horribly empty wallet.
:)

I have one 56k internet connection.
I have one newish ME computer.
I have one old 98 computer.

I want to use both computers on the internet, but just use the one connection point, ISP, etc.

Is it possible?
Do I have to pay extra?
Etc, etc.

Only one computer has to be connected. As long as the connection is set to 'shared' the other can connect through it without any other software. If you're on AOL sharing could be a little more problematic.

I do this at the minute, but thankfully not for much longer because my ADSL should go live in a few days.

Look about, they aren't expensive.

Yes. It wouldn't be horribly slow.

Well, you'll need network cards in both computers (if they don't have onboard ethernet) and a crossover cable between them.

It'll be slow when both are on, yes, but that's the only real problem.

Further explanation is needed.

How do I network them.

What are the complications of sharing an internet connection? Eg. extra fees, only one can use at a time, slow down?
