If the graphics on PC games got the point where they were so advanced that it looked like the world we live in, would it be as good to play? Or would it look as good?
yeah. lol. but we'll still play on it!!! u could become paranoid, if it was too realistic, say, in resident evil or summet.
I think there's some moral/ethical issues that need to be taken into account with "real" games...firstly, and noted on eXistenZ, there's the trouble of distinguishing the game world from reality.
Secondly when it hits 2040 I'll be an old man... I'll curse at the kids who get to play it as I watch on with my bad back and failing heart =P

wouldn't it be odd though?i don't think that it would really have the same feel as a game does now. Take Halo for example,(or halo 2 whatever...) It just wouldn't be as good. That vidio-game feel would be lost. I admitt though, virtual reality does sound good.
It would be good to play if it was a good game.
I personally can't wait until the 30's 40's when virtual reality is all the rage and you take the place of someone in a game/film/porno.
