now that consoles and games have got so advanced and there are so many more of them, will gaming become a religion? i mean, if you take all the aspects of religion into hand; gaming has a person or being of power; either the console or, say, the president of sega. gaming has a place of worship; a games shop, or video games arcade. gaming has a 'holy' scripture; the consoles magazines, or the manual of the product. gaming has laws, the bbfc give out laws on what games should be like and who should play them, and gaming has a holy land; japan, where all games start off. so why shouldnt it become a religion?

I seriously doubt it.

either the console or, say, the president of sega.

Um....If you worship him or your console, you need to see a psychotherapist!

How are they places of worship? They are just places where you purchase or play games outside of the home...

The government have laws....doesn't mean that the Labour Party is a religion!

We could have made gaming a religion, but it would have needed alot of advertising. If you all saw the news recently about the American that put down 'JEDI' for a religion on the Census we just recieved, and although he got fined, if 10,000 other people had done the same they would have had to make JEDi a religion! so I guess the same thing could happen for gamers! Don't know why you would want this as a religion, would the E3 show be our church/temple of worship?

no, but suicide cults will start to spring up due to the complete lack of respect developers and publishers show us.
