When everyone talks about the future of gaming, basically they are talking about the future in the next couple of years with the advent of the next generation consoles. But has anyone thought about what will the future be like in say 7 years? what will have happened? will there be one of the consoles which reigns supreme? Will the playstation 2 be all powerfull or could Nintendo really have suprised everyone and given us the ultimate machine? Will Microsoft have completly cocked up sega style with the X-box? and will you be able to purchase a dreamcast for 30 nicker down the local market?
but then there is always the other alternative that all the consoles deliver on their promises and are awsome and we have "console wars" on a massive scale and they wipe each other out! We could end up with some new developer coming in with a new console like the SANYOSTATION.
We could even be hearing news about new "super next generation" consoles like the Playstation 3 or the nintendo whale. Machines so powerful they can bend time or somthing. We could even be overrun buy pocket consoles such as the gameboy advance 2 or the new nintendo handheld which leave the next gen consoles we await miles behind.
We could even be experiencing a new kind of technology. Some kind of microconsoles which fit behind the ear and contain thousands of interactive games which can tap directly into the brain and project the game directly into your mind.... internal virtual reality.
Many people expect the next couple of years to resolve who will win the console war...but will they? I doubt there will ever be ONE winner...people will always be there to put a challenge in for the crown. I belive that the furture of gaming stretches far beyond anything we can invisage at the moment and many people are wrong to pre empt it. We can only wait.

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
