I watched that documentary on Panarama last night about kids who carry knives.
Very scary.
There was one knife that looked like a belt buckle, and one that was disguised as a comb.
One kid got stabbed because he wouldn't hand over 30p to a gang of kids in an arcade, and one got stabbed because he had an arguement with a knife-carrying kid.
If you see anyone with a knife and they draw it on you, run. That's their advice.

It's legal to carry a knife so long as it's under (I think) 3 inches in length and you have a justifiable use for it. Saying you're a fisherman is a good one.
However most knives fit easily in your pocket and how often have you been asked to empty your pockets on the street by a person in authority? Not many, if at all, I assume.
The best defence is offence, thats why American's have guns. That and the fact they're trigger-happy fools.

yer was scary but what people dont realise is its a serious office to even carry a knife if your caught with one or use it and can mean a long jail term ....... i think life imprisonment might make a few think again ;0)
