Geez how many more keepers are United going to be linked with? We've gone from people like Robert Green to the latest one being Iker Casillas, basically if he wears a pair of keeper gloves at the moment he's being lined up by United.

It's stupid, Howard is a great keeper that was let down by a pathetic defence early this season. If Buffon was being peppered by shots all game he'd let a few by himself. We all saw what Tim was capable of last year and was one of the best keepers in the league, why Fergie, if he actually is looking for a new keeper, wants to replace him i don't know.

He wants to be concentrating on buying a defensive midfielder not bothering about the keeper situation that's where we really need someone seeing as Keano will be retiring soon, but then David Gill isn't exactly the sharpest pencil in the bunch. Was in a couple of the sunday rags he's interested in buying a left back from Italy for Fergie. Yes and where exactly is he going to play Gill? Heinze is doing wonders there since he finally came to Old Trafford, we don't need another one.

Mark Schwarzer, yes. You're right. I must be thinking of Stefan Schwarz or something...

It's rediculous.

No disrespect to the 'keeper or Steve McClaren's team, but we're even being linked with Steve Schwarzer - a player Middlesbrough would never-in-a-million-years allow to leave the Riverside!

I do like the idea of un-wanted Carlo Cudicini in a United shirt, but I still see nothing wrong with the two we have.

Tim Howard's been caught up in a bad start from the team in general. With goals going in all-over the place, and a few defensive cockups in general, he's got be centered as the man to blame. He's under-pressure as the No.1 after an outstanding first season in the Premiership.

Roy Carroll, in the final year of his contract, is making a superb job, once again, of stepping-in to give Howard a breather and to regather the thoughts in his "mentally-troubled" mind. We certainly don't need a No.2 there, either! :)

So surely him doing well actually means the defence is doing well then?

Howard had a few poor games so I think he's been given a bit of time out.

Villa's reserve keeper Postma did look good at the weekend.

Who's that other keeper that did well at the weekend? Think he was Villa's second choice - I was well impressed I must say.

As for United, they already have a huge squad - Howard really should be put back in, on the whole he's a good keeper.

On the other hand, Carroll seems to be doing a fine job. Some decent saves against Birmingham this weekend. I imagine Fergie will wait till the summer before he signs anyone.

I think more than anything, Fergie seems to be his own enemy at the moment. He seems to be the only manager in the football who likes to 'freshen things up' and disrupt the team totally.
