The deal says that for 25 years Leeds can use the training ground as it is leased back to them. If Leeds' finaces improve over the 25 year period Leeds can buy back said ground.
They are trying to do a similar deal with the Elland Road stadium.
After being relegated last season Leeds have had to sell near enough the entire first team in an attempt to cut debts that had risen over 100 Million. The current debt lies somewhere between £30 and 40 million with the recent sale knocking a further 4 million off of that.
Leeds have said they are still looking for a possible investor that will help the debt in anyway.
Also the new management has made £100,000 avalible to Leeds Manager Kevin Blackwell in which he made a bid for 25 year old Preston striker David Healy who scored a screamer for Ireland in their recent game.
Leeds currently sit 17th in the Coca Cola cup championship after what is described as a "goal shortage". Whilst Leeds' back four and keeper Neil Sullivan have been incredibly impressive, only conceding 8 goals this season. The same as league leaders Wigan.
Leeds face Preston and Healy at Elland Road on saturday.
Healy's deal hasn't broken down, Preston are rejecting Leeds' offers.
Leeds played excellent today.
But remind me again, why do we have Michael Ricketts?
(And, it was Northern Ireland he scored for the other day - some people may find it offensive if you do not better-dignify the two.)
I'm glad to hear Leeds have finally managed to slice nearly three-quarters of their massive debts, but some say Elland Road could actually be next, following months of anticipated speculation, to keep them in the Green, once-and-for-all...?
> Then he joined Man Utd....
Which was a kick in the teeth moment.
Well I used to like leeds, used to be the other team I followed (everyone had someone) back in the days of Smiffay, Viduka and the lads.
That penalty Smith scored on his last game and then went running to kiss the badge infront of the crowd, before standing with his arms outstretched for ages, really was a tear in the eye moment,

They also re-structured debts, and a lot of the debt was destroyed when the club was bought out in the first place.
Blimey.

I wrote it.
And they sold ALL their first team players bar Gary Kelly, Lucas Radabe (who is injured), Seth Johnson (who is injured) and Erik Bakke (who is also injured).
And re-built their team with free transfers.
Although they were pretty good free transfers.
How did they manage to cut their debts so much? I'm sure they didn't sell that many players....
