There are a few films that have forced me to watch them for a second time to understand what is going on. Mission Impossible (the first one) i watched twice because i wasn't really sure what was going on. I only really understood Blade Runner after watching the director's cut version and a lot of my friends still don't understand what is going on. I'm sure there are a lot of films that have really pushed our brains to the limits but the one film that still sticks in my head is "2001 a space Odyssey" I've seen this film a few times and i'm still not sure what is going on. I really should read the book but seeing as though i don't understand the film i'm doubtful if reading the book will make things any clearer. Can anybody actually understand what is going on in this film?

The monolisk - an alien intervention. Scary and bloody worrying. But typically Kubrick. Just thnink of it as a film telling us to be wary of advance until we know we have control. Full control.
It's going to make you think. Thats the idea.
