I have an XP based computer with Windows Movie Maker 2 and i was wondering if you can edit DVD's with this

Im not sure if you can so if you cant what other software is there that can edit DVD's?

just edit movies and put sounds and thing like that into it!!

Nah you won't be able to in Movie Creator, you would need a specialised program to do something like that.
