I would like to think that the nintendo dolphin would be successful, encouraging nintendo's policy of releasing very few outstanding games, rather than sony's habit of quantity over quality. unfortunatley this is unlikely to happen.
While nintendo's/ rare's games were some of the undoubtedly best ever (goldeneye, super mario, zelda, jet force gemini.............) owners of an N64 had to wait months for these while their sony/sega owning friends had a pretty good game a week.
The only way to support these innovative titles would be for nintendo to release their games for both sony and sega, selling millions of copies while forcing companies like EA or core to make new good quality games rather than 'fifa 2010' or 'tomb raider 57'.
