My dads wants to upgrade his PC, he wants a new motherboard, graphics card, processor and RAM.
Just looking for suggestions as what might be best to buy and where to get it from.
Not looking for the best you can buy but fairly decent, graphics card would need to allow him to play some decent games (Like doom3 etc)
Cheers :0)

To give you an idea, online a 256 meg 9600 Pro will cost you around 70-80 pound. A 9600 XT will cost you about 90-100. And you could get a 9800 Pro for around 120-140.
Think the motherboard is this one or similar - http://uk.asus.com/products/mb/socket775/p5p800/overview.htm
Anyone know how good they are or reccomend something of similar ability that they would recommend?
Graphics card was about £120 or so i think, could I get a better one online for a similar price?
Cheers

You’re such an idiot smiley. 1st of all they dont exsist I have never heard of the chipset manufactor redeon (i think you mean a radeon 9800xt) which is not worth the money when you pick up a 9800pro for alot less and the difference is minimul.
Should he be going for a radeon 9800 pro or would you recommend something else?
He wants to be able to play Far Cry and Doom3 at a reasonable standard and also not have to upgrade again for a good while when newer games come out.
He's been buying the odd part for a while now, got another 120Gb hard disk the other day and a power supply.
I'll get a list from him of the stuff he had been looking at to see what you guys think.
spike I'll show him that link and see what he thinks - cheers

Corsair Ram is decent, good CPU/Fan combo plus a decent motherboard.
I'd then use the remaining Cash for another stick of that Corsair Ram and a 9800 Pro.
