Exactly, but they're saying they will bring the phisical gifts back, so it's always worth stocking up.

In japan they get customised Mario controllers and whatnot.
All the physical gifts like the wavebirds and things sold out in about an hour and they barely ever got new stock. I've still got over 7,000 stars and nothing to do with them. I don't really want a printable Mario poster.

Yeah, they once did infact do gifts that were decent, but they took them away becuase they all sold out. But you never know, they could bring them back.
