There is a website defining 'trolls'.

http://curezone.com/forums/troll.asp

Lets discuss it, orderly fashion and all that, right?

'An "Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" is a person who posts outrageous message to bait people to answer.'

I haven't posted anything 'outrageous'. The closest I came to outrageous was the Timmay topic, which was obviously a joke and he realised that.

I'm not 'baiting' people to answer. Was my topic on 'Scientists realise why pictures always look at you?' baiting people to answer? Nope. I just post things that I find funny and hopefully others will find funny, be it articles or auto-erotic asphixation.

'Flaming discussions usually end with name calling and a flame war.'

That's not happened here yet and probably won't ever happen because of me.

'Sometimes, he is skeptical, trying to scare people, trying to plant fear in their hearts.'

It's obvious I'm not trying to scare people or plant fear in anyone's hearts!!

'Finally, trolls create a paranoid environment, such that a casual criticism by a new arrival can elicit a ferocious and inappropriate backlash.'

Funny, that. When I arrived here, all I got was flames and name-calling and pointing. How did you expect me to react?

SO THEN.

If anyone here still thinks I'm a troll, please speak up, or forever hold your silencer.

A lot of your posts seem like they are designed to stir up trouble and resentment. Making disparaging posts about other members is unwanted, unneeded and smacks of craving for attention. It is also trolling.

Your posts have caused many people to click that "Report this post" link.

The only reason it hasn't descended into flaming is the other members here have refused to take the bait.

yep, and that button isn't on the screen, they had a 'warn forest' button added to their keyboards, due to the frequency of use.

What do you mean by disparaging? If I say that I don't like a certain style of repetitive, boring, useless topic (no names), is that okay? And if Timmay recognises I was joking, is that okay?

That button actually works? I thought it was just for show.

So then it's not really a problem then, right? I mean, if everyone here is intelligent enough to 'refuse the bait' then everything's Jim Dandy, right?
