BOO! This isn't what I wanted. I mean, it's good. But it's less Rival Schools and more frickin' Radiohead-ish.....which at other times, is no bad thing. BUT this is Walter, the dude of Gorilla Biscuits, RS, Quicksand.
So far, so not so good, although I've got a very great amount of bias on this CD. Grrr.
I'll probably love it in 3 days.

Well, I'll undoubtedly pick it up somewhere down the line... Just not for a while. Going to London to start Uni on Saturday and I'm thinking there will be little money going spare. Especially becuase there are a shedload of gigs I want to get out to, and the first week of getting drunk every night to contend with...

It's good. It's Schriefels for chrissakes. It is great music - and his voice is just perfectly suited to rock - probably no rock singer I;ve heard has such a 'suitable' voice. But, it's not what I wanted, and I guess the same is true for other fans.
I mean, normally, I'm quite happy for artists to change their styles, etc, and usually I'm fine with the results. Just this is the man who wrote 'Good Things' while in Rival Schools - it's unfair of me, but Walking Concert just aren't what I wanted them to be. Doesn't detract from what they are though, to anyone else.
