Im trying to install a D-Link Ethernet Card and whenever I put the card in any one of my PCI slots my computer just wont turn on. also the WOL cable has nowhere to go on my mother board is it doesn't fit. Any ideas whats happening?

It isnt necessary for you to install the WOL cable, couldnt find anywhere for it to go on my motherboard. Just before you send the thing back, make sure that it is seated properly, as they can be a bit of a biatch to get in sometimes.

Normally that would mean the PCI card is dead, I wouldn't recommend keeping it in as it could cause damage. Have you called 0207 365 8440 (D-Links support number)

Just to quickly check what motherboard are you currently using?
