i have mpeg and avi. files that i have downloaded and i wondered if there is any software which i can get to burn avi files or mpeg files straight to a dvd with out needing the video and sound files. I have nero 6 but i dont know if you can do it with that. thanks for your help

.avi files have to be converted to MPEG 2 before they can be authored, use TMPGEnc to do this. One you have MPEG files you can then author them with a number of authoring programs, i use TMPG DVD author. This will turn your MPEG files into a bunch of .vob, .ifo and .bup files which can then be burnt to dvd using nero.
