The rumour mill has gone into over drive, pretty much every paper and website under the sun is rumouring it, please oh please, say he will disappear taking his negative tactics and hopefully phill neville and hargreaves to real to spain. (note; phil neville is a joke there are few things worse for english football than phil neville going to real, it would pretty much guarantee automatic selection!)

Without Stevie in your midfield, what're you going to do against Robbie Savage? David Beckham, Lamps, Joe Cole, and probably Wayne Bridge. There's a midfield with steel to it's core, eh?

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Eriksson upped and left - and, from what I hear (to little surprise), the financially-threatened FA would be happy with it, too. If he was willing to meet with Roman Abramovich to talk about a move to Chelsea, I can hardly see him ignoring any chance to speak to Real, should they offer; seeing as he (probably) has a house over there, anyway.
Still, the bad news is, without Steven Gerrard, we may have to wait until after some below-standard performances against Wales and Azerbaijan before the Swede feels his "reputation" is being damaged here, and that he finally has enough for his next 15 lifetimes, and it's 'time to go' (a la Lazio).
