20th September 1987, 6:55am…little old Dubsie was born!
And now, 17 years and 7 inches ( ;c) ) later, DW has grown into a big boy…or a little man.
As a rule, I don’t really give a **** about my birthday, however 17 is an important age for me.
At 17, I can do the following:
You can drive most types of vehicles (with a provisional driving licence and a 21+ adult in the passenger seat who is qualified to drive).
If you pass your driving test, and you're properly insured, you can get behind the wheel and take to the road on your own.
You can apply for a private pilot's licence for a plane, helicopter, gyroplane, hot air balloon and airship.
You can be interviewed by the police without an adult present, given a reprimand or a warning. Should you be charged with an offence (without being granted bail) then you could be sent to a remand centre or prison.
Care orders can no longer be made for you.
You can become a blood donor.
You can become a blood-donating gyro-pilot...yey!
Obviously, I am most ‘excited’ about driving. Whilst here in the UK, it’s more of a chore then a privilege, I’m looking forward to going down the coast, and generally, be free.
So, shower me (golden preferred) with gifts and what not. Consider this a free post for your total, or something. ;c)
Bye bye 16. :’c(

Only 'cos you'll be one of the oldest in your year at school, also probably because your birthday is in September too.
