modem 56K and a hard drive.

Right, now to explain what this means.

The dolphin boasts a 128bit, 200mhtz processor which is nearly twice as
fast as the pentium 2 for Pc’s. This is impressive, but when you look at the
PS2, it has a 128 bit, 300mhtz. processor. The dolphin has a 128 bit, 400mhtz
processor, the X-box a 500mhtz so the the X-box comes out on top.

The DC produces over 3million polygons per second compared to the PS2’s
66 million. The dolphin and X-box polygon rate has not been released yet.

The DC operates on a 12 speed CD-ROM, crap compared to the PS2’s DVD
and CD-ROM, and the dolphins ‘advanced’ DVD ROM and the X-bos’s DVD

The DC has a 33.6 kb/ps modem, the PS2’s 56kb/ps modem(sold seperately)
and the dolphins whopping 128kb/ps, (incl. in console) and the X-Box’s
56kb/ps

The DC has a piddling 16MB memory against the PS2’s 32MB’s and the
dolphins ‘advanced’ DRAM technology ( unknown MB value) and the X- Box’s
64MB

The dolphin and x-box seem to come out on top, but not all details are
known.

The Dc gets a head start on the PS2, which is released before the dolphin.
The dolphin also gets the jump on the X-Box

Unfortunately for Sega, I think they released their games console too early,
not putting enough time effort and resources into it, therefore allowing the
other Next.Gen consoles to become better, and I think the DC will see a
drop in sales as soon as England sees the PS2

With the DC put to one side the PS2 can battle it out with the Dolphin in the
long running Nintendo-Sony popularity contest. The X-Box may be the best
console, spec wise but Microsoft are not known for their game capabilities
and are releasing their console too late.

Sony, Nintendo and even Sega are well established gaming distributors, The
two latter ones having a longer history, but Sony making it’s name in the
last few years.
Microsoft? Games?
What do we think about this?

(Newspaper headline) Microsoft launch X-Box - opening games are Flight
Simulator 2002 and classic arcade adventure 5!!!!

Do you see what I mean?
Microsoft have made a name for themaselves as PC software/hardware
producers and distributors, but when it comes to games their lines are
spread very thin.
I admire the way Bill Gates has made a name for his company, but I think
this is one mountain he cannot conquer!

To round up.

DC: a good capable machine, but not enough time or effort put in.Released to early. Pants compared to new consoles

PS2: a very good machine, capable of taking Sony to new heights. Great specs, up there with the X-Box and Dolphin. A
few bugs.

Dolphin: A very good machine, Nintendo have proved their worth in the gaming world .
Specs could be the best around, and value for
money seems to be a high priority.

X-Box: Best specs. Microsoft have left it too late and have too little experience with games

No.1 Dolphin
No.2 PS2
No.3 DC
No.4 X-Box

Thank you for reading and please do not abuse me for my thoughts and
opinions.

ThankYou.
