I don't know whether this is old news, so incase Grix moans his head off at this, I'll say sorry in advance.

The makers of the Neo-Geo pocket have filed for bankruptcy, so the only competitor in the handheld market is gone now!
Especially when they owe 38b Yen!

The makers have filed for bankruptcy. That means they CAN'T pay back the 38b Yen! If they could they would've!

Instead someone else will be put in charge of all the debts and the properties owned will be shared between the people that the makers of the Neo-geo owe.

even if he is a mega rich guy/gal, he's hardly going to pay off a 38m yen debt in one go, he would turn froma mega rich guy/gal to a mega poor guy/gal, why not pay it off with a slight intrest?

I doubt Neo Geo actually own 38 bill, named after rich git 2000, but not 2001, basically because they wouldn't be in dept, they would have paid it.
