I know each house must have one, but i'm moving into a house and just wondering if i need to get a TV licence. If i stayed in halls i'd need one but im staying in a student house. I thought the rules were if the doors have locks on then you'd need a separate licence.
Any ideas?
if you are in a house (with a joint tenancy agreement) then you only need one for EVERYONE. Not buying one stands severe chances of rumblage
If you are in halls (and therefore individual room contracts) you all need one, though stand a far superior chance of getting away with it.

Well, Hippie, you're in for it now ...
What now? Does it just go to the address where the TV will be?
Also, you can get it on a tri-monthly basis, which is handy if you're only there for 9 months.
