I only ever played an emulated version.

I used to play Pokemon all the time - got the Red, Blue and Yellow versions. Never got beaten and i can't remember how many people i played. I had a squad of 6 all at level 100 - took ages to do ! My Pokemon were - Pikachu, Gengar, Charizard, Vaporeon, Dugtrio and Rhydon.
A lot of the time i sent in Dugtrio first who took out all the opponents on his own ;-)
I'm pretty competitive and wanted to enter those tournaments, but i had this feeling i would be like the only 22 year old there and look a bit stupid ;-))
My gf kept a good distance away from me when i bought a big Pikachu in the states ;-))
That was the bad thing about Pokemon coming here, it becomes a kids only thing thanks to the merchandise and stuff :-( While it was only in Japan it was more of a novelty thing - I even have a Pikachu tie which a Japanese friend sent me ages ago ;-))
Been considering getting Pokemon Gold and Silver, but i don't really have too many people to play against - i have 2 colour gamesboys as it is so i can trade with myself ;-))
Last time i beat loads of people cause of my younger cousins and stuff - they had all their friends over, plus there were a few people where i used to work that played it. Think i managed to go against around 70 people last time over the months. Had Pokemon Yellow for awhile before it was out here cause i got the U.S version ;-))
Had international experience as well, beating my gf's brothers and their friends ;-))

The best player needs to lose, befor my ultimate squad of 2000 was ready (i was defeating people no problem). I lost 12 times in a row, 5 of my Pokemon was awsome and defeated my friends 5 with just needing one or 2 of them.
But his Mewtwo beat my five and my Mewtwo, What i tried to do was m,ake my five stronger and i did and although it was a tighter fight i still lost so i did radical things to my Mewtwo (didn't cheat) i got it up to havin 439 hp and attack and defense power to rival anyone, I then changed his moves to be the ultimate Mewtwo killer which he was. Sadly i can't use Mewtwo or Mew so i used Gengar, Zapdos and Chansey and was winning no problem.
i traded my Mewtwo temporarly onto my red game and when my game got deleated my Mewtwo was the only surviving Pokemon and he is still in Silver today.

I would've gone to the tour early this year....however this time they decided to stay clear of Cardiff!
Last year around summer time when they came to CArdiff, all I had was a level 100 Pikachu, Mew, MEwtwo and Pidgeot and 2 of those I couldn't enter the championship with anyway!
So when they do come to CArdiff, I'll be waiting for 'em!
Also, you don't have to win every battle to be a Pokémon Master! (See old posts at www.codejunkies.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi and I mean old as in....beginning of last year to see what I mean....)

I beat Dave and I got to the semi finals of the competition before my best friends sister deleted my game i was so angry and i had to forfit. But my Silver squad is stronger than any squad i have ever had be afraid.
Edgy, do you think you are the real Pokemon Master? Have you beaten Dave Mccomb in the Championships that toured the country, because if you didn't you are not the pokemon master....
