I'm in the market for a second hard drive and I'll probably buy an internal one and slap it into an external enclosure with a FireWire connection.
What I want is some recommendations for the drive itself, please. I'm not looking for huge amounts of storage - 80Gb or so should be fine - and, obviously, the faster the better.

My brother recently bought an 80Gb Seagate drive for £40. Quiet as a mouse it is, no problems with it at all.
It runs at 7200rpm which is the fastest you're gonna get unless you go for a Raptor, which, for an extra 2800rpm will cost you £120...
