Millwall 1-1 Ferencvaros

Good results for Hearts and Middlesbrough, ok for Millwall and Newcastle, and rubbish for Rangers.

Watched the Middlesbrough match. They played really well in the second half, and I can see Jimmy Floyd and Viduka becoming a great partnership.

It's a wee bit less than that, 40k a week, I think, but he's already shown that he's a class act.
Shame about the other 9 "players" on the field (Klos is excluded, I hope Khan breaks his face or something, because Klos would HAVE to be called up toplay for Germany, then Rangers fans can go "yeah, Klos, he plays for Rangers).

Rangers suck.

Without him we'd do even worse though.

The problem is that players that looked good when we signed them, faded dramatically. Lovenkrands, Mols, Ricksen, and so on, became shockingly bad.

The players we still have need to be rejuvenated by a new manager.

The thing is, though, Boumsong is on about £50,000 a week, and when you're £70million in debt and don't have many other areas of income, that's just a stupid amount to pay.

Well, in their "defence" they are over 70 million in debt, so they were unable to afford any players without selling some, and they only managed to get about 3 million from 8 players.

However, we did get Boumsong on a 5 year deal for free. Him and Klos I support, the rest of the team sucks.
Also, Rangers should have won agaisnt CSKA, their first goal was disallowed on the return leg, and one of the few decent midfielders that was fit was banned for 5 games for kicking some dude in the skull, when it was clearly an accident, and the victimised player even said he didn't feel there was malace in the attack.

But still, Rangers suck. Klos and Boumsong and Burke (forgot about him) don't.

Heh. I went to Spain back in July, and, when we went into an English bar late one night, we met up with some Scottish people - one of whom (Ross, I think his name was?) was a Rangers fan, BEGGING us to lend our support to his side because of how quickly they were falling downhill.

And we Man United fans think we're doing badly as one of the country's top teams...! :S

Seriously, I forget why I support them sometimes (always).

I stopped supporting competitive football around January this year, then when the new season starts and I decided to support them again. No idea why.

Watched the Boro game too. Excellent match, just proves how good their strikeforce is and it was interesting to see a lineswoman in such a high profile match.
