After Souness departing from Blackburn, Hughes was the most likely successor to the club.
"But surely he wouldn't leave Wales - they are, after all, doing well." And Mark Hughes' record is good, almost taking them to Euro '04.

Or so we thought. Turns out his agents says he's ready to leave Wales and manage Blackburn. Thus messing up the country's chances of qualifying for the World cup.

Conclusion: Souness = b*gger

I thought that he would rather be the manager of a nation thats on the up than a club that is going down.

If only Dwight Yorke was still there. Hughesy would show him that crossing a Welshman is a bad idea.

Except if the Welshman is Craig Bellamy. He'd fall over when his stupid hair got in his eyes.

...I miss Giggsy.

...I wish Joe Cole was Welsh.

There, that sums up my patriotic spiel for today. Oh, wait - Dirty Azerbijain.

Things must really be getting tough for him if he's seriously considering taking the Blackburn job - whether he still wants to keep the Wales one aswell, or not.

No disrespect to the club or anything, I only would've thought of it as a very tought descision for a man like Mark Hughes to make, giving up on - or, at least, lessing his commitment to - his very own country.

A bit like Alan Shearer when he retired from playing for England.
Only, will Mark Hughes go from strength-to-strength with at club-level?

Souness is bigger....

Hmm... I'd say that's debatable.

Ah OK, still would have preferred if Wales had his undivided attention.

Although he'd do well for Blackburn too.
